Q: What are blend cycles?
A: Blend cycles are unique to Blendtec®. Blendtec® developed an electronic control board which allows the blender to speed up and slow down during a timed cycle; after pressing one button, food will move, shift and drop into the surface of the jar blade. When the cycle is complete, the blender automatically stops.

Q: Can the Blendtec® jars blend both wet & dry blends?
A: Yes, there is no need to buy a separate jar for wet blends and a separate jar for dry blends, the Blendtec® jar will blend either or.

Q: Why a square blender jar?
A: Blendtec® developed this design with science in mind. Your ingredients don’t swirl like in a traditional round blender jar; they hit the sides of the square jar and fall back into the blade.

Q: Is it easy to clean?
A: Yes! All parts are easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. The jar can be cleaned simply by filling with 1-4 cups of warm water and 1 drop of dish soap. Press the pulse button. Rinse and dry.

Q: Can I make hot soup?
A: By pressing the soup blending cycle, ingredients can reach temperatures in excess of 43 degrees Celsius (110 degrees Fahrenheit). Depending on the ingredients added you may have to repeat the blend cycle. Refer to you Recipe Book for further information.

Q: How do you load your jar properly ?
A: The easiest way to load your jar is to remember liquids first, softer ingredients in the middle, hardest ingredients and ice on top. This will result in a faster blend and longer jar life.

Q: How does the jar blade blend? It looks dull.
A: The blade is designed to pull ingredients from the top of the jar and a dull blade crushes ingredients rather than slicing them.

Q: Does the blender grind wheat?
A: Yes! You can add 1-2 cups of wheat berries or other grains into your blender jar. By grinding, your jar will permanently become cloudy. This is just cosmetic and will not harm or hamper your food. We suggest buying a separate jar for wheat.
